elated
I've been having a very apprehensive feeling about St. Joseph. Could it be...them not returning my phone calls...or just the answer they gave to Sarina...yeup. That could definitely put my hopes of having our ceremony there.
And then.... there it was.
The perfect words that I could ever read:
Arrangements should be made with Fr. Tim at least six months before the marriage date. At least one must be active member of the Catholic Church. Our church is available for wedding of Catholics from other parishes. FOr details, call the Parish Office.
Keep in mind that this church is located in Lake Arrowhead.. probably 25-30 miles away from Big Bear. But still... that was the BEST hope that I could ever have. It's like I found a lil pot of gold.
Plus, to make matters even better. I emailed the priest last nite and got a prompt response this morning. Hotdiggitydamn. He didn't sound very happy with me emailing him...but still he plainly and simply said "No problem. We have many weddings here of those who do not live here. Get one or two dates then call, do not email, and I will check the calendars."
Beautiful!!!!
That was SO simple. Well, i'm sure the dates that we want might not be available... and that's actually the thought that crosses my mind. So, we'll probably have to act fast!!! oy.
Man.. when some things run so nice and simply.. no complications. It feels SO good. You just know it's right.
