Lu: Still coming out with us tomorrow?

Danny G: That reminds me...I wanted to ask you something.

Lu: yea?

Danny G: That girl, R, is having a going away party....

Lu: NO.

Danny G: that's what I thought but I was wondering if I should go.

Lu: <feeling a bit stupid for thinking he was asking me to go with him> oh yea..you should go. But, I was saying for myself...I wouldn't want to go with you. You go. Just meet up with us later.

Danny G: maybe I shouldn't go.


Brownie points for Danny G for being considerate enough to ask for my permission. At least I think he was asking my permission to go when he knows how I feel about this particular person. In any case, score one.

He's respectful and hopefully I'm respecting his feelings in return.
