Pack-Rat Extraordinaire!!

I admit it. I'm a freakin' packrat. It must be the Vietnamese in me. Keep those grocery bags.. just in case. Keep all those sales receipts and bills from years ago.... just in case. Keep old movie, sporting event, concert ticket stubs as a souvenier and just in case. Keep the plastic wrap around the remote control or bed mattresses... just in case (actually that's not packrat behavior...that's just abnormal Vietnamese behavior). If there could be another use or if it holds some type of memory... just keep it just in case.

I found this in the middle of de-packratting.




It says: "To my most beautiful and brightest girl. Love ya, Me"




At first, I thought.. why would my mom write that and when did she give me this?! ("Me" with a period underneath the 'e' is "Mom" in Vietnamese).

After thinking about it some more and noticing there wasn't a period underneath the 'e'... my tiny lil lightbulb flashed above my head. "Me" is Dan! He had given me a single red rose and this card right after I heard that I failed my first attempt at the Cali Law Exam.

Once I realized this... I'm grateful that I'm a packrat. Keeping shit like this reminds me just how sweet Dan can be when he tries.
