The Grocery Game

Since I used my miles to get the LA Times (Thursday to Sunday) subscription, I thought I should try to save money by clipping the coupons. The only problem with coupon clipping is that I have a hard time using it efficiently. I can do the whole clipping it out...but using it well that's another story. I either end up trashing it because the date is expired or I forget to bring the stupid coupon to the store.

So a while back, D had told me how she signed up to this website called Grocery Game. And what the site does is keeps track of at least once grocery store and tells you which coupon to use and how much you could save. I remember when she had signed up it was $1/month subscription. But now the price has gone up to $10 for 2 months. Another drawback is that if you want to add another store to your list, it'll be another $5.

But, I guess for now... I usually just shop at Ralphs. Although there probably are better deals at another store.

Last week, I used it and it was pretty good. Although I hadn't built up my reserves of coupons, so probably in another couple of weeks I'll be good.

This week I really didn't have to buy to much.. but I saved almost five bucks on my purchases.

Grocery Total: $16.11
Tax: $16.31 (I thought they don't tax on food..hmph)
Coupons: -$4.76
Final Grocery Total: $11.55

Although on the bottom of the Ralphs receipt it said that I had a total savings of $22.24... that's kind of deceiving since I usually buy whatevers on sale that week.

I guess my savings this week was enough to cover my subscription to Grocery Game.
