Lucy: Let's go to Wendy's for dinner.
Chris: ok. Well, what about In 'N Out?
Inside Lucy's Head: (damn! In 'N Out french fries??? waaaah! At least Wendy's had different sides to pick from. whimper)
Giving up french fries hasn't been SO hard. It's basically just avoiding fast food places. On this occassion I had to get two In 'N Out hamburgers to make up for the fries that I didn't order. yummy!!
The indoor climbing get-together seems to be coming along well. I got nine ppl to come out. I'm excited!! Although I got a weird voice message last nite from the place saying that the time slot we wanted was still available. wha??! I put a deposit down already... what are they talking about?! I'll have to sort that out later on today...
Last Friday, Dan and I went engagement ring shopping. wow. I was excited!! ...although the whole process was a lot to take in. So many decisions and options. Although I liked the simple solitaire ring setting. I'm debating whether it's TOO simple.. maybe I need just a tiny bit of flair to make it unique to me. Or maybe the wedding band should be more unique? oy.. see.. the whole process is a bit mind boggling.
The only person I've told about our lil trip to the jewelry store is Anna.. she was so excited for me. *smile* Last nite, I was watching Pride and Prejudice... and it got me thinking about how proposals are done... like how do ppl get engaged. Does the guy ask first and then they both go shopping for the ring? Does the guy go get the ring and then propose to the girl? What are the steps to this confusing process?? And it all boils down to what your gut tells you. That's pretty much what matters. Its crazy to think that just a month ago we had broken up and now this. But with all that in the past, it all feels right...
