Second Cuts

Although its still unclear who we will pick to help us with this room... we made second cuts on Kyla and Ryan.

With Kyla, she was just too expensive. Our initial budget was $1000. She knew this but told us that her cost plus her assistant cost would be $1000 and if we wanted to get anything for the room it would be cost to us (which that is fine)... but man! From having one designer say she'll take $200 and the rest of our budget would go to the room. And from her saying she'll take the $1000 and we need to get more money for the rest of the room. She had to go.

With Ryan, he sent over a great presentation. From our 20 minute meeting, I thought I wouldn't hear from him. But he sent over a good presentation. But its weird... in his email he says that our room would cost way more than what we wanted to pay and he hoped the other designers had better luck. And then when I emailed him to give me his cost and what he would think everything would cost if we used his vision... he's never emailed me back. I really don't like timely response.... and it's been a couple of days now. Based on that... he had to go. Too bad. Really liked his image for the room... although I wonder if its possible.
