Meet our New President

It was like literally a second that the CA polls closed and they already had determined that Barack Obama had won the presidency. That was kind of crazy!! It was definitely a historic moment. The United States has their first African-American president. This is great... 40 years ago there were riots and protests for social justice... now look. Look how far we've come.

I can't help but feel like we do have a new hope for the future.

But, there's also a part of me that thinks... Obama has alot to prove. And can he do it? It's stressful being the 'first'. It's like he has to be successful so he can lead the way.

I'm just upset about Prop 8. We're giving farm animals humane treatment...but not giving equal rights to same-sex couples. How crazy is that?!!?
