Lu,

I ran across your blog when I was doing a Goggle search for Nettie. She was a friend of my mother and they had lost touch years ago. I was hoping to put them back in contact and was truly saddened to learn of her passing. I wish I had searched one of the millions of times I had thought of her before.

Mother met Nettie in conjunction with their work back in the 60's. I remember spending a lot of time with Nettie and even as a teenger I always enjoyed our conversations. In fact, Nettie gave me my first car, her Chevy convertible, when she left for Vietnam. Even went to my one and only 60's Love In with one of her nephews. For the life of me I can't remember his name only that he was a working on his Master's degree at Temple University.

Although many months have passed, my mother and I wanted to send our condolences and to let you know Nettie had touched the hearts of two other people as well.
