Eight Years in the Making

After eight years of dating...with all the ups and downs... they finally did it!! T & T got married yesterday.. and now I can relax. It's been a busy weekend.
It all started on Thursday with the dress rehearsal and dinner. The church they picked was the First Baptist of Pasadena and it was SO beautiful. For some reason, almost all churches in Pasadena have so much character. And its kinda funny that me and D, G & J and T & T have all been married in Pasadena. The other special thing about the First Baptist is that it was across the street from the City Hall. I've only seen the exterior of City Hall...but MAN! It's gorgeous too!
On Friday, I helped K, M, and T work on the boutonnieres and the bouquets. Now, I FULLY understand why florists cost as much as they do. Those freakin' things took FOREVER!!! Apparently, during the practice run... the girls had estimated that it would probably take six or seven hours to complete 1 bridal bouquet, head table centerpiece, 6 bouquets and 27 boutonnieres. How long did it actually take?? T and I got to K's house at 2ish... we left around 10ish...but K & M finished the bridal bouquet and the head table centerpiece around midnite. ug. This route may have save lots of money...but the stress and the time put into it... hm. it wasn't worth it. But K & M should definitely go into that business..they're so damn creative!!
And then Saturday was the wedding... I was thinking of spending the nite over at Thao's parents house..but since we got home late on Friday. I opted to just wake up early. But I had to get there at 6:30am. ug. T wanted the vietnamese ceremony in the morning at 11am. Then the church ceremony at 3:30pm. And then the reception started at 6pm. I was SO nervous about my Matron of Honor speech. And I just didn't do as well as I wanted. ug. But it was over... I don't think I did as good as job as Thao did on my day... but now we're even steven. whew.
